Fun Facts

In 1972 a man named Clifford Irving wrote an autobiography about Howard Hughes claiming they worked on it together. Hughes denied it and Irving and his wife went to jail for fraud.

Hughes was able to enter the movie business and start producing movies through his uncle Rupert who was an author and movie producer.

Sometimes in his movies when the stunt artist refused to do some of the plane stunts Hughes would go up and do them himself.

Robert Maheu had worked for the FBI and helped Hughes with Business. Later Hughes fired Maheu. According to Dictionary of American Biography Hughes claimed “he stole me blind.” Maheu sued him and won over 2.8 million dollars.
